What are the start and end points of the tour?

The tour starts and ends in San Cristobal de las Casas. It includes visits to Aquazul, Misol-Ha, and Palenque.

This tour involves significant physical activity, including hiking and jungle tours. It may not be suitable for young children, seniors with limited mobility, or those with serious health issues. Please consult with us about your specific situation before booking.

Can I get a detailed day-by-day itinerary?

Here's a brief overview: 

• Days 1-2: San Cristobal de las Casas

• Day 9: Return to San Cristobal de las Casas

Will there be free time during the tour?

While the tour is quite comprehensive, there will be some free time for personal exploration, relaxation, or optional activities. The amount varies depending on the day's schedule.

Can I join the tour late or leave early?

Due to the structured nature of the tour and included activities, it's not recommended to join late or leave early. Please contact us if you have specific needs.

What type of activities can I expect?

Activities include meditation sessions, hiking, jungle tours, swimming in cascades, visiting Mayan ruins, participating in ancestral medicine experiences, temascal sessions, and a cacao ceremony.

Booking & Payment

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 3 months in advance to ensure availability, especially during peak seasons.

What is the payment schedule?

A 30% deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due during 60 days before the tour start date.

Can I cancel my booking? What is the refund policy?

Cancellations made more than 60 days before the tour start date are eligible for a full refund. No refunds are available for cancellations made within 60 days of the tour start date.

Are there any discounts for group bookings or early reservations?

Please contact us for information about potential group discounts or early booking promotions.

Accommodations & Meals

What types of accommodations will be provided?

Accommodations will vary depending on the location but will be comfortable and clean. Specific details will be provided upon booking.

Are meals included in the tour price?

Yes, all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are included in the tour price.

Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?

Meals will be whatever is available in local restaurants. While we'll do our best to accommodate dietary needs, options may be limited in some locations. Please inform us of any severe allergies or restrictions when booking.

Packing & Preparation

What should I pack for this 9-day tour?

Essential items include:

Is there a limit to how much luggage I can bring?

While there's no strict limit, we recommend packing light due to the nature of the tour and transportation. A medium-sized suitcase or large backpack plus a day pack should be sufficient.

What travel documents do I need?

You'll need a valid passport. Depending on your nationality, you may also need a visa to enter Mexico. Please check with the Mexican embassy or consulate in your country for the most up-to-date information.

Is travel insurance required for this tour?

While not mandatory, we strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and adventure activities.

Are vaccinations or health precautions recommended?

Consult with your doctor or a travel clinic about recommended vaccinations and health precautions for travel to Mexico.

What happens if I get sick or injured on the tour?

Our guides are trained in first aid. In case of serious illness or injury, we will assist in getting you to the nearest appropriate medical facility. This is why travel insurance is strongly recommended.

How safe are the destinations visited on this tour?

The areas we visit are generally safe for tourists. However, as with any travel, it's important to remain aware of your surroundings and follow guide instructions.

Transportation

What transportation is included in the tour?

All necessary transportation between tour locations is included. This may involve a combination of private vans or buses.

Will there be long travel days?

Some days will involve longer periods of travel between destinations. We'll make regular stops for comfort breaks and to enjoy the scenery.

Can I upgrade my transportation options?

The tour uses set transportation for the whole group. Individual upgrades are not typically available.

Customization & Special Requests

Can the tour itinerary be customized?

While this is primarily a group tour with a set itinerary, we do offer custom tours for groups of 5 or more people. For the standard tour, significant customization is not possible, but during free time, you may be able to pursue personal interests. If you have a group of 5 or more and are interested in a custom itinerary, please contact us for more information.

Can I extend my stay at any of the destinations?

If you wish to arrive early in San Cristobal de las Casas or stay longer after the tour ends, we can assist with additional accommodation bookings. Please request this at the time of booking.

Are there optional excursions or add-ons?

The tour is quite comprehensive, including most activities. Any optional activities or free time suggestions will be discussed by your guide during the tour.
